Cassie Goossen has been a serious photographer since age 11 when she received her first point and shoot camera from her grandpa. Her love for pictures grew when she started planning family photo shoots for her 9 siblings. Cassie graduated from Whatcom County Community College in 2004 and soon after traveled to West Africa for a whole new venture into missions photography. When she returned in 2005 she knew it was time to get serious about capturing moments. She then began the amazing adventure of starting a business. Just Smiles Photography was established in early 2006. The name was changed to Kekasmai Images in the fall of 2008. In the Summer of 2011 Cassie married the man of her dreams and moved to Minnesota, with that her growing business needed a makeover once again and the name was changed to something simple and lasting; 'Cassie Goossen Photography' was born that Fall.

Cassie Goossen is the creator/mind/eye behind the lens. She is currently based out of Brainerd, Minnesota but has traveled around the USA and the globe pausing time with photos that illuminate a person, place, emotion or a moment. Her dream is to push “pause”, to capture a look, a smile, a moment in time. To be able to always see “that one smile” for years to come. Cassie hopes that each time you look at a photo that she has taken of you, you pause and realize that it captures the essence of who you are, not just what you look like. Cassie's dream is to capture in a photograph what only a moment can hold; to be able to be there when "that one look" can be paused forever.
